There really wasn’t anything major to nitpick. Guardians of the Galaxy update 1.05 adds ray-tracing for PS5 and Xbox Jim Hargreaves 19/11/21 Comments Closed A new update for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is now available to download. It did take me back to the movie, in a good way. When Rocket was taken prisoner by The Collector, Groot’s flower wilted.įinally, it wouldn’t be an episode of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy without the inclusion of soundtrack music. When Rocket was happy, Groot’s matching flower would release happy colored spores into the air. Besides giving Rocket something to remember him by, the flower also monitored Rocket’s emotional state. I liked that when Groot gave Rocket a flower to remember him by, there was an ulterior motive behind it. I originally thought it would only play in the first two episodes and then later on in the season, but apparently it could be referenced episode after episode.
The subplot of the Cosmic Seed continues, as The Collector would like to add it to his collection. He is hung up on a joke about a toaster being able to do his job. Rocket has a fragile ego that needs affirmation. His rough exterior is hiding how much he wants to be liked and needed. Call it “structured chaos.”Ī grumpy Rocket makes for an entertaining Rocket. As much as the team fights among themselves, they are still able to function as a team. The opening sequence of the team fleeing from Fin Fang Foom encompassed everything that is lovable about the Guardians of the Galaxy.
However, The Collector has something up his sleeve. When The Collector offers to take Rocket on, it’s a proposition that he cannot pass up. Again, we're not willing to endorse this purchase unless you're in it for 100% completion, because there's literally no way to win.As the Guardians of the Galaxy are being chased by a large flying dragon (Fin Fang Foom perhaps?), Rocket is starting to feel like his talents are not being appreciated. Interact with it and you'll be provided with the option to buy a ticket for 1000 units. Leave by the main entrance and directly opposite at the other end of the walkway is the lottery machine, a round little silver stall with a sign that reads "Knowhere Lottery" and some people clustered around it. If you're looking to buy a lottery ticket, you can find it outside the entrance to the Collector's Emporium. For that reason you might want to spend the money in one of your playthroughs - just don't expect to get any real return on that investment.
The lottery ticket counts as an item that adds towards that section of the database itself, so you can't get full completion without it. That being said, there is one reason and one reason alone to buy it: if you're aiming for full completion in the database. This is in keeping with a lot of Knowhere's general business ethos: everything is designed to fleece you of money, and what isn't an overt scam is at the very least unreliable. Though you do come back to Knowhere at a further point in the plot of the Guardians of the Galaxy game, the lottery machine is no longer there, so it can neither tell you if you were successful, nor allow you to redeem the ticket even if you were. Almost certainly not - have you never heard of lottery odds before? The Knowhere lottery ticket in Guardians of the Galaxy literally cannot lead you to a win, as even if it's the right ticket, there's no way to redeem it later on.
